SACO Apartments Piccadilly: Stay in Manchester's City Centre
Updated: Jun 4
Manchester is a fantastic city to visit, with so many different things to do and experience. Whether you're visiting for the football, the shopping, or its historic charm, this major English city won't leave you disappointed. When traveling, I often find that it's best to book into an apartment style hotel, so you have the option to cook for yourself and save money that you can put towards other activities. Whether or not you use the kitchen is completely up to you, but it's always good to give yourself the option.
I came across SACO Manchester while perusing the usual hotel travel sites, and was really surprised at their prices considering the location and modern decor. The bedroom provided a homely feel, and the living room/kitchen area was very well equipped and spotless. I honestly couldn't find any fault with it. In terms of the location, it was only a few minutes walk from Piccadilly train station, and very close to a tram stop. It was also ideally situated for all the shops and restaurants, and it really was the best place to stay in Manchester. Check out some photos from my stay below:

I booked SACO Apartment's One Bedroom Apartment for my 2 nights in Manchester. The double bedroom was a great size, and all of the furnishings were new and spotlessly clean. There are so many things to do in Manchester, and it was great to come back to this bed after a day of exploring.
The bathroom in the apartment was perfect. There were a few toiletries provided which was ideal because I forgot my own. The focal point of the bathroom was the incredible shower, which was very roomy and had great water pressure.
The living room area was beautifully decorated, and the windows overlooked the main street below. There were a few brochures available to read, with some tips on what to do in Manchester, as well as a large TV on the wall with a good selection of channels. There is WiFi included in your booking too.
The kitchen came fully equipped, so it was very easy to make something to eat. I was also treated to some fresh milk in the fridge, hot chocolate and biscuits. Although I didn't use the kitchen this time around, I would recommend doing so if you're travelling to Manchester on a budget.
I walked to SACO Apartments from Manchester Piccadilly, and it took no more than 5 minutes. Many of the city's main attractions are very close by, and places like Salford Quays and Old Trafford are only a short tram ride away. I've found that SACO Apartments are always a great choice of serviced apartments, and I tend to look them up first whenever I'm travelling to a new city.
