Iveagh Garden Hotel: An Oasis in Dublin

Dublin has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Trinity College and the Book of Kells was the main attraction for me, as was exploring the Temple Bar area and getting stuck in to some traditional Irish food. To make this trip even better, I wanted to make sure I found somewhere special to stay, and I definitely got that with Iveagh Garden Hotel. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The decor was gorgeous, right from the moment you entered the hotel. The breakfast/dining area was equally as impressive, and the selection at breakfast was amazing. If you wanted a hot drink that was made to order for you as well. The room itself was breathtaking, with a high vaulted ceiling, a big comfortable bed and a stunning bathroom. There was even a selection of fresh fruit and chocolates on the table, as well as still and sparkling water! If you're not convinced yet, it's Europe's first sustainable hotel, is powered by an underground water source, and even the toilet paper is eco-friendly! You can read more about it here. In terms of location, it's about a 25 minute walk from the Guinness Factory, and only 15-20 minutes from the Temple Bar area! It's a lovely walk as well in any direction, as there are loads of parks along the way. If you're travelling from the airport, I'd recommend hopping on the Airlink bus, which will drop you off just around the corner from the hotel. Take a look at some of my photos from my stay below, they'll have you booking your trip in no time!

From the outside, the hotel is picture perfect and ideally located for exploring the city.

First impressions? Love at first sight.

The design of this hotel couldn't be more perfect in my opinion.

Treat yourself to this delicious breakfast, you won't be disappointed I promise. Everything is very fresh and tasty. From the hot food to the fruits and cereals.

I can guarantee you'll sleep like a baby in this bed! There's also a TV on the wall and a very nice coffee maker to try out!

Yes, the water falls from the ceiling. Yes, it feels incredible.

Everything you need in a bathroom. The shampoos and lotions were top quality as well and smelled amazing.

Can you really say no to this? I don't think so.
