Dublin has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Trinity College and the Book of Kells were the main attractions for me, as was exploring the Temple Bar area and getting stuck in to some traditional Irish food. To make this trip even better, I wanted to make sure I found somewhere special to stay, and I definitely got that with Iveagh Garden Hotel. This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The decor was gorgeous, right from the moment you entered the hotel. The breakfast/dining area was equally as impressive, and the selection at breakfast was amazing. If you wanted a hot drink that was made to order for you as well.

The room itself was breathtaking, with a high vaulted ceiling, a big comfortable bed and a stunning bathroom. If you're not convinced yet, it's also Europe's first sustainable hotel, is powered by an underground water source, and even the toilet paper is eco-friendly. You can read more about how eco-friendly it is here.

It's located on Harcourt Street, which is about a 25 minute walk from the Guinness Factory, and only 15-20 minutes from the Temple Bar area. It's a lovely walk as well in any direction, as there are loads of parks along the way. If you're travelling from the airport, I'd recommend hopping on the Airlink bus, which will drop you off just around the corner from the hotel. Take a look at some of my photos from our stay below:

From the outside, the hotel is picture perfect and ideally located for exploring the city. It's a relatively new hotel, but it's already considered to be one of the best luxury hotels in Dublin, as well as finishing high on the list for being one of the best places to stay in Ireland.

So, if you're wondering about where to stay in Dublin, wonder no more. First impressions? Love at first sight. Even before coming to this hotel, the photos online really appealed to me so I was very pleased that it looked the same in real life.

The design of this hotel couldn't be more perfect in my opinion. We only had 2 days in Dublin unfortunately, but we couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The lobby was beautifully decorated and spotlessly shiny, with lots of thoughtful details to add to its charm.

We included the breakfast in our booking, and definitely wasn't disappointed. Everything is very fresh and tasty. From the hot food to the fruits and cereals. There's a great selection of everything, and if you want a full Irish breakfast, the waiter will come to your table to take your order.

We stayed in the double superior room, and I can guarantee you'll sleep like a baby in this bed. Especially if you plan on experiencing the Dublin nightlife. There's also a TV on the wall, free WiFi available, and a very nice coffee maker to try out. I would recommend checking their website, because they often have some hotel offers available. Anything to help with your travel budget!

I love checking out the bathrooms in hotel rooms. Especially if I'm staying in a luxury hotel (which isn't too often). First of all, it was spotless. Secondly, the water in the shower falls from the ceiling. How amazing is that feature? Everything is of course eco-friendly, right down to the toilet paper.

Everything you could possibly need in a hotel bathroom is provided for you. The shampoos and lotions were top quality as well and smelled amazing. So there's no need to waste precious luggage space (and weight) bringing your own.

Can you really say no to this? I don't think so. Our superior double room was incredible, with a high ceiling, an enormous bed, and chocolate covered strawberries. There was even a selection of fresh fruit and chocolates on the table, as well as still and sparkling water. And I almost forgot to mention the very comfortable bathrobe as well.

I highly doubt you'll find better accommodation in Dublin than Iveagh Garden Hotel. It really is the best place to stay in Dublin, and is one luxury hotel that won't break your budget. Best of all, it's a sustainable hotel, so you're doing your part to help the planet while you relax in comfort. My only regret is that we only had time to spend 2 nights here.
